Hi! Welcome to the Casus region, I'm Slip, your admin. I've done Pokemon RP for the better part of a decade now, but I've never tried making my own. I feel like I've done this long enough that I know where most forums go right and wrong, and hopefully, you'll stick around for a while and we can have some fun!
The Casus Region is an island continent in the shape of a star. Discovered by trainers, they developed it to be a place for Pokemon trainers and gave it five distinct zones. Appropriate Pokemon were shipped in initially, but now make their way to the island themselves, pleased to find different climates and settings to their likings. The island has attracted all types, be it trainers looking to become the champion of the prestigious Casus league, coordinators taking advantage of new venues to show off their Pokemon, or researchers, taking advantage of the fact that never have there been so many species of Pokemon so close together.

This zone is focused heavily on construction and production, and is Casus' main source of power and development. Far from being the prettiest place on Casus, factories and mills litter the land, with trees only being planted for the purpose of being chopped down again. The land is so stripped down and barren, that instead of having travel routes like most places, there's an extensive light rail system that runs through the area, dropping people off where they need to go. Common Pokemon found here include Steel, Fighting, Rock, Ground, Electric, and Poison, among others.

This zone is filled with mountains and glaciers. As such, most of the terrain simply cannot be traversed, and trainers tend to stick traveling down the few manufactured routes, though technically nothing is stopping you from going off the beaten path. Common Pokemon found here include Flying, Ice, Dark, Rock, and Water, among others.

The polar opposite of the Tundra Zone, this area is a large desert. The sun beats down persistently on the sandy routes from city to city, and bringing a water Pokemon is recommended. Archeologists are abundant here, looking in the scattered caves for relics and fossils. Off the coast is a small island nestled up next to a dormant volcano, home to a city renowned for its hot springs. Common Pokemon found here include Fire, Rock, Ground, and Bug, among others.

This zone has a constant smell of salt and a gentle sea breeze floats over the area. Bodies of water sprinkle the landscape, along with a handful of rainforests. There's also various ruins from whomever the former ancient inhabitants of this island were before ... something happened. This draws almost as many archeologists as the Desert Zone, looking for artifacts and history, instead of fossils. Common Pokemon found here include Water, Flying, Ghost, Psychic, and Fairy, among others.

This zone alternates between dense forest and expansive plains. The sun shines brightly and unoppressively here, and Pokemon are abundant. In stark contrast to the rest of the zone, on the eastern tip is a forest that the sun doesn't reach, and nothing seems to grow around. No one in the zone will talk about it, and no one who goes in seems to come out the same. Common Pokemon found here include Grass, Bug, Poison, Fairy, and Flying, among others.
